Sherman Oaks, CA 3,500 square feet A simple and unassuming home in the Sherman Oaks hills provided an excellent starting point for this second floor addition and modern update. Given the owner’s family-oriented lifestyle, an open plan with a free flow from room to room and inside to outside was desired. To achieve this, Profeta Royalty created both physical and visual connections between the living spaces centered around the double height Dining Room. A transparent wood and glass room divider replaced the existing solid wall between the Living Room and Dining Room. The removal of the wall between the enlarged Kitchen and Dining Room created an interactive flow between them. Above, an Office loft overlooks the Dining Room and enjoys a view of the lush backyard through the two-story glass walls of the Dining Room. |
