Profeta Royalty was commissioned by Dembo and
Associates to complete a conceptual design study for
one of Meyer Pacific’s buildings in the world famous
Beverly Hills retail district. Previously occupied by a
high-end day spa, the building’s Neoclassical street
façade was composed of solid plaster with two small
punched windows. To create a retail oriented building,
Profeta Royalty replaced the existing façade with an
elegant modern glass storefront. The lowered ceiling was
removed to achieve a taller volume and reveal the existing
bow-string trusses. A floating wood ceiling panel that
conceals the mechanical system extends through the
storefront and folds upward into an exterior signage
panel.
